 This is what I am using as an example, yet as we know as the Gettysburg Address:


Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.

But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate ---we can not consecrate ---we can not hallow ---this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us ---that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion ---that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain ---that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom ---and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

In 2006, Twitter had character limit of 140 characters. It doubled that limit at some point, but it did not just change that ---is also is no longer called 'Twitter', but is referred to as 'X'.


I am beginning this exercise by using the 140 character limit. (I was told once that 'Facebook' should also have a similar character limit ---likely having that reaction after reading one of my posts.)


If that limit was placed on the Gettysburg Address (which is already one of the shortest addresses), it could meet that qualification by just listing the first 140 characters: "Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposi" ...


Or it could be consolidated by using the most important points: "87 years ago our forefathers fought for freedoms still not fully realized & for which brave soldiers still fight to preserve. The fact that" ... 

No, that is not good. Try again: "Our forefathers fought and many are still dying to preserve the same truths. God created all of us equal & we should see others as God sees " ....


I believe that is better, yet it likely would not console those standing there on the day when Lincoln was voicing his gratitude for those who died for the freedoms so cherished by so many ---and abused by others, which they were fighting against. And there is also that classic line "of the people, by the people, for the people" ...


Or the "unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced" ...or the "four score and seven", instead of 87. 


Speaking of God creating us equal ...yes, I do believe what the Bible says. And He created us to live here on earth, yet Jesus said He was going to prepare a place for us ...and that is an afterlife. Some people call it 'salvation', but I will simplify it by asking you what qualification do you believe there is for joining God in an afterlife, which most of us call heaven??? Yes, your turn ...140 characters:

'Am I Trying to Take Away From Jesus? (---back cover:)


The role of insects is critical for flowering plants ...and plants are critical to humans.

It is true that bees are the most common pollinators, yet flies are second in importance. 

But in my home, I'd like to establish a 'no-fly zone'.

In trying to rid my home of these pests, I've noticed that flies have one of the fastest escape responses. And that frustrating detail makes these insects one of the most aggravating species to us humans.

But perhaps the most aggravating species to humans ...is other humans.

Sadly, many people don't fear God ...they fear other humans may take away something from them. And sadder yet, is when a person fears someone may take away from them taking away from others.

Yet, those who follow those who've moved beyond the point of fear often aren't wise enough to know the 'whys and wherefores' ...nor the extent to which they are being led.

Be careful ...not to cross the Rubicon on a crocodile's snout. You will not get to the other side.

If that last part sounds like a fairy tale ...trying to circumvent God's way would be like one. And the one who said, "Did God indeed say ...?" truly does not have a happy ending.

Yet, if one moves beyond fear, and attempts with every breath to put oneself above others ---the sick satisfaction from that sort of influence fuels itself ---and if you follow, it'd be like crossing the Rubicon on a crocodile's snout.  

If that last statement sounds like a fairy tale ...trying to outsmart God would be like one.

Thanatophobia: 'Fear of Death'


In 1900, Robert R. Montgomery invented the modern flyswatter ...and it is my belief that it was necessary because flies don't seem to fear death. And some of them take a long time to land, and when they do it is often where you don't want them to. And they are very quick so you may only get that one chance. 

Humans cannot achieve by their own natural abilities all of which they'd like to do, but humans can invent things (like a flyswatter). And God gave humans this ability.

In my opinion, the problem is when we humans attempt to put our ideas above the One who gave us the ability to think, discover, and invent.

Veritaphobic ...'Fear of Truth'

1. Displaying hesitation or refusal to admit or recognize that something is true, or to accept the concept of truth itself. Usually born out of fear of offending someone or being held accountable to something constant.

2. Dismissal of the existence of absolutes.

3. Degradation of people who profess something as true or untrue.

4. Being willfully in denial. Gives rise to constant skepticism and doubt of everything.


Thanatophobic, or Veritaphobic ...I say, the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom (or let's make this clear, the Bible says) ...and offers eternal life, through Jesus Christ.


Often we feel uncomfortable with how others embrace their faith. We react to them like we do flies ...swatting at their ideas. And sometimes we even shun any chance conversation with them, as we feel it is unhealthy to associate with their church S.W.A.T. team! (We view them as 'Someone Without Adequate Truth'.)

The fly and the evangelist ...one knocks on your door, and the other enters uninvited. I ask you ...which one 'bugs' you the most?

Jesus knocks, but He doesn't enter uninvited. I ask you again, "Do you want to invite Jesus in??

Matthew 21: 33-38 ---as Jesus speaks,“Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place. When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit.

The tenants seized his servants; they beat on, killed another, and stoned a third. Then he sent other servants to them, more than the first time, and the tenants treated them the same way. Last of all, he sent his son to them. ‘They will respect my son,’ he said.

But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance.’ So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him."
